Get to know your Vulcans: Chris Moehler

What was it like to come to Cal and playing in the first game you were eligible for?

To play in the very first game of my freshman year was an experience i will never forget.  It was such a rush, I am very blessed to have the opportunity.

What was it like scoring your first career goal as a Vulcan in only your second game?

It was such a relief.  Once i scored in that game i realized i could contribute at this level.

What has it been like to be on the team that has reached its highest ranking ever?

It is good, but to be honest, i dont get caught up in rankings.  They are just numbers and all that matters to me is which team is better on any given day.

Going back how hard was it to adjust to the college level of play?

It was more of a mental change than physical.  Originally it was difficult for me to relax and be confident in my ability to play at this level.

What was the hardest thing to learn at the college level? 

The hardest thing for me was to learn how to play under a new coach.  I was so used to playing in a completely different system with players and a coach i was used to. It was difficult to adjust.

How do you stay “in the game” during the offseason?

As a team we will lift 3-4 days a week. Also, we will keep a touch on the ball weather it is pick-up or indoor.

What originally got you into soccer?

I have no idea what originally got me into soccer.

How many years have you played soccer?

I cannot put an exact number to it, but ive been playing soccer for as long as i can remember.

What is one interesting fact that not everyone would know about you?

Music is my life. 

Where are you from and where did you go to High School?

I am from northern Virginia and went to Paul VI Catholic High School.

What do you plan on doing after college?

Finding a job and making as much money as possible.

What is your favorite tv show?

FRIENDS, FRIENDS, FRIENDS !!

Who are your favorite sports teams?

Penn State, The Steelers, Penguins, and of course, THE BUCCOS

What is your favorite food?

Any thing my mom makes, love home cooking !

What is your favorite movie?

I am not a big movie watcher, I prefer music.
