    Freshman Jolien Borrenberghs along with Jade Pondicas helped the Vulcans by capturing two wins in doubles, over Winston-Salem State and then Shaw University, to push the Vulcans to the Round of 16.

Senior 12th ranked Martina Rubesova was named the PSAC Tournament most outstanding player after helping the Vulcans to their sixth-straight PSAC title. As well as, named PSAC West Athlete of the Year after a 25-6 regular season.

Seniors Martina Rubesova (Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic) and Franziska Steinhardt (Bad Lausick, Germany/St. Augustin Gymnasium) each qualified for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Championships after winning flights at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships.

Tennis sweeps Clarion, Mercyhurst, stay perfect in PSAC

Franziska Steinhardt posted her 20th win of the season against Mercyhurst. The Vulcan tennis team went undefeated during the week of April 4. They defeated Clarion 9-0 on April 7 and Mercyhurst 9-0 on April 8. The Vulcans are now 16-7 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC West. The Vulcans are also ranked 13th in the nation and first in the region.

The Vulcan tennis team swept Indiana (Pa.), 9-0, in their first PSAC game of the season. The Vulcans are now 14-7 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC.

Tennis defeats Concordia, Pondicas earns West honors

The 13th ranked California Vulcans tennis team was able to defeat the 22nd ranked Concordia Clippers 8-1. This marks the first loss for the Clippers of the season; they are now 12-1 on the season. The Vulcans improved to 13-7 (0-0 in PSAC play).
