Taft) led a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown drives, including the game-winner, on Thursday night in his professional debut to help lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 24-17 preseason win over the San Diego Chargers on ESPN.

After averaging just over two turnovers a game last year, the Vulcans could not control the turnover battle to start the season. California turned the ball over three times en route to a 23-17 opening day loss to the Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) Cardinals. In his Vulcan debut, transfer student Josh Portis threw two interceptions and one touchdown, but added an extra weapon with his legs.
