California University Choir

Started near the beginning of the prestigious history of California University of Pennsylvania, the University Choir has grown to encompass over 130 members.

Under the direction of Dr. Yugo Ikach, the choir has continued to flourish and grow. Past performances include singing at the White House, St. Patrick's Cathedral, US Navy Memorial, Disney World, NYC's South Street Seaport, as well as Nashville, TN.

The California University Choir provides an opportunity for students to sing a wide variety of music from both contemporary and traditional repertoire. Our goal is to give interested students of the University the opportunity to learn and perform quality, choral music. We do this by providing concerts for the University students, faculty, staff and the entire community. The choir performs frequently on campus and throughout the Mon Valley and southwestern Pennsylvania.

The University Choir also provides the schools of the Mon Valley Communities examples of fine choral performance and is a resource for schools wanting to improve the quality of their own choirs.

The University Choir meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2-2:50 PM.
