Computer Refurbishment Program
The club accepts donations of good, used computers that are to be refurbished and made available to Cal U students. To apply for a computer through this program, please complete and return this application, along with a one-page essay telling us how you will benefit from receiving a refurbished computer.
There are a limited number of computers available, and successful applicants will be contacted in the order in which the applications were received. Selected applicants will have the option to either make a $50 donation to the club or complete 5 hours of community service with the program to receive their computer. Students need not have prior computer experience for the community service option.
Please note: Obtaining a computer through this program includes a tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse and power cords. It does not include an ethernet cable. Ethernet cables can be purchased at the Bookstore.

Community Service Connection
As a club we believe in the value of community service, therefore we have created this community service opportunity through our new computer refurbishment program. This community service experience serves as a means for participants to further their technical knowledge through hands-on experience and the knowledge of other participants. While increasing community service, expanding knowledge, and establishing a social environment, the program also reduces computer waste, provides interested students with basic working computer systems, and reduces the number of students without personal computers. This helps students alleviate the financial burden of obtaining a computer for the pursuit of their degree.
