CONSTITUTION
Article I Organization
Section I
The name of this organization shall be The Young and Gifted
Gospel Choir of California University of PA.
Section II
Those students who are genuinely interested in the organization, willing
to render any services available to them, and who are immediately affected
by the actions of this organization shall characterize membership.
Section III
Meeting
The members shall decide meeting at the beginning of the fall and spring
semesters.
Section IV
Quorum
The quorum of the Young & Gifted Gospel Choir shall be fixed at
(5) members of the Young & Gifted Gospel Choir membership to
accomplish or transact any decision or matters.
Article II
Purpose
Section I
To instill in the minds of students and surrounding communities an
awareness of poetry, drama, and religious music.
To help students relate meaningfully educational institutions that
are not necessarily geared to their creative and productive energies.
Article III
Officers
Section I
The following officers shall be elected:
1. President – a member of the Young and Gifted Gospel Choir
with at least one year of service with the organization.
2. Vice-President – a member of the Young and Gifted Gospel Choir
with at least one year of service with the organization.3. Recording
Secretary – a member of the Young and Gifted Gospel Choir with
at least one year of service with the organization.
4. Corresponding Secretary – a member of the Young and Gifted
Gospel Choir with at least one year of service with the organization.
5. All finances and financial matters will be handled by the advisors.
Article IV
Powers and Duties of Officers
Section I
President
a. Shall preside at all regular and special meeting.
b. Shall prepare the agenda of the Young and Gifted Gospel Choir.
c. Appoint special committees.Section II Vice-President
a. Shall preside in the absence of the President or at his/her direction.
b. Shall conduct elections.Section III Recording Secretary
a. Shall keep accurate minutes of all meeting and rehearsals of the
organization.Section IV Corresponding Secretary
a. Shall receive, record, and send communications.
Article V
Elections
Election of officers shall be held at the end of the current year for
every office of the upcoming year.
