Saint Joseph Parish
Welcome friends...
In the Roman Catholic and other traditions, Saint Joseph is the patron saint of workers and has several feast days. Saint Joseph was also declared to be the patron saint and protector of the universal Catholic Church (along with Saint Peter) by Pope Pius IX in 1870, and is the patron of several countries and regions.
He was chosen by the eternal Father as the trustworthy guardian and protector of his greatest treasures, namely, his divine Son and Mary, Joseph's wife. He carried out this vocation with complete fidelity until at last God called him, saying 'Good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord'.( from a sermon by Saint Bernardine of Siena)
What emanates from the figure of Saint Joseph is faith. Joseph of Nazareth is a "just man" because he totally "lives by faith." He is holy because his faith is truly heroic.
(Pope John Paul II from Daily Meditations)St. Joseph Parish is a welcoming community, called by God, baptized in Christ, and guided by the Holy Spirit to proclaim God’s devoted love.
