Photography Team

 

Concepcion Baeza Lara is a junior at Cal U. She originates from West Grove. She is majoring in Creative Writing and Spanish Literature and minoring in Psychology. She is on the dean’s list. She is involved in the Hispanic Student Association, the International Club, and the Latin Dance Club. Upon graduation, she would like to get a job working for a magazine. One of her goals is to attend law school. Her interests include reading, writing and math. She also enjoys basketball as a hobby. One exciting thing she has done is travel to Saint Thomas for six weeks and then to Costa Rica for 11 days.

Megan Macho, the Photography Team’s co-editor, is a Uniontown native and a senior at Cal U, with a dual major in Journalism and Literature. One of her accomplishments includes being on the 2008-2009 Fall and Spring Honor Roll. Upon graduation, she would like to find a job as a teacher. Her goal is to continue her education by getting her master’s in English Education. She doesn’t get to travel much; however, over this past summer, she got to see Jason Mraz, who is her favorite artist. This was exciting for her. Dancing and chorography are her main interests. She has danced her entire life. She also loves music and listens to classic rock. Kings of Leon is her newfound love; she thinks they are amazing. She also loves the Pittsburgh Penguins. She says, “They are my all-time favorite team.”

Christine Martinsky, a Canonsburg native, is a junior at Cal U majoring in Journalism. Upon graduation, she would like to get a job in the fashion industry. Her goal is to work for a fashion magazine as a stylist. Some of her favorite places to travel include: San Diego; New Orleans; Memphis; Washington, D.C.; and New York. Her interests include fashion, movies, sports, her dog, family, and friends. Her favorite sports teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Penguins, and the New York Yankees. She enjoyed the Pirates before “they traded everyone away,” she said.

Ashley Pfoutz is a senior at Cal U majoring in English (Creative Writing) and minoring in Psychology. She is from Tarrs. She was on the dean’s list. She is involved with the Pennsylvania State Education Association. Upon graduation, she hopes to get a job as a teacher in a high school. Her goal is to become a successful teacher, continue her education, and start a family. Pfoutz enjoys traveling. She has been to 38 of the 50 states, mostly by traveling by car. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, writing, photography, and enjoying her down time. She also enjoys playing volleyball for fun.

Jackie Schwirian, the Photography Team’s co-editor, is a senior at Cal U, majoring in Public Relations. She originates from Elizabeth. She has a marketing internship with the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. She is the Firm Director of the PRactioners, Cal U’s student-run public relations firm; a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America; and on the PRSSA Regional Activity Subcommittee. After graduating from Cal U, she hopes to move out West and find a job in public relations or sales. Some exciting places she has traveled to include Puerto Rico and California. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and dressing up her dog in fashionable outfits.
