A n o t h e r  G a m e

Half are red,
half are white.
Both headed for the same place,
roped webs at each end of the field.


The black and white circle rolls side to side,
hitting against the size two
black and blue soccer cleats.


One set of eyes watch as the circle rolls.
First right,
no left!
The red shirt jumps for the ball…
SWOOSH!
Point scored.


Screams of excitement
as the medium shirts jump up and down.
Hands smack together,
smiles shown everywhere.


Blue chairs sit against the orange sideline.
Applause of praise.
A smile of pride.
Another win.
Just another game.
